1. What was the article about? Write a 30 word summary of the article.

The non-fiction text was about how a chunk of mud was removed from a mountain by a lot of heavy rain, and it destroyed the roads and blocked them as well. It blocks cars from getting from one side to the other and stops people from getting to important places and from coming from places too. This prevented people from going on road trips, travelling and work. Every time workers remove rocks off the mountain more fall down, which blocks roads. Every day people are having a hard time getting to work and to any important places they need to be.

2. What do you think the author’s purpose for writing this article was?

I think that the author's purpose for writing this text/article was to tell us how bad the mudslide is when water hits it.
